CREATIVE EDUCATIONAL WORK
Exhibition Report and Catalog "Moving into Alignment: a healing circuit in the African Diaspora”
Memory and Literacy, 2017
I curated an interactive healing exhibition based on seven energy centers (chakras) of the body. Each station highlights multi-media, and presents interactive activities to connect visitors with their bodies and healers in the Black community. This exhibition creates an embodied experience of living archival histories and memories in the African Diaspora.
“Walking With Natasha” choreographed by Ananya Chatterjea
The University of Texas at Austin Dance Repertory Theatre’s Momentum February 15-26, 2017
This piece was an homage to young women looking to heal amongst all the quotidian violence they face. It was about creating a practice of solidarity without an intentional plan to continue diasporic support and love.
